Thank you for commenting. In retrospect I think when I initially watched this film, I may have given it too much credit, as I was in a bit of a dry spell when it came to finding good movies.

It has been described by some as a comedy, but I didn't think it was funny.

At the time I saw it I enjoyed how Lars' fake relationship helped him find a real girl. I also enjoyed the support he received from his family and the rest of the town. They all thought he was crazy, but since he was harmless they decided to humor him.

It was not realistic at all, but I don't think it was meant to be. It was a bit boring at times, but I found enough that I liked about the story to recommend the movie, while cautioning that I thought it would only appeal to a limited audience. I may have underestimated just how limited the audience would be.

Ultimately it was a flawed movie that I found charming.
