Obama at G-20: April Fools Bitches
President Obama revealed today that the subprime mortgage crisis, the bailout and the forcing out of the CEO of General Motors were all part of an elaborate April Fool’s Day Prank.
We asked a few people what they thought of the President’s hoax.
President George W. Bush “Of course I knew who do you think started the whole thing. Now Obama takes credit for the April Fool’s Joke. Seriously does he really seem like the type to risk the world’s financial future all in the name of a good joke. Of course he doesn’t this has W. written all over it. I do appreciate that he did not spoil the surprise though. Heck of a job Barack.”
Angela Merkle Chancellor of Germany “I thought we were finally getting a leader in the United States who was going to take the World’s problems seriously. Well at least he didn’t try to give me a massage like the last joker.”
Joe Six Pack Yuma, Arizona (Yes that is really his name. It is a Native American name.) “So does this mean I can move back into my home? I don’t really appreciate being forced to move out of my home just for some lame joke, but as long as I am allowed to move back into my home I will not sue.”
Keith Olbermann of MSNBC’s Countdown “This just shows how great President Obama is. If the former President had tried to pull this off he inevitably would have failed. Obama is not only a great President he is also the greatest practical joker of all time. I’m sure he will clear up all of the problems associated with everyone in the World believing we were in a global financial disaster within the next week or so at the latest”
Rush Limbaugh “Well it is good to know that the President has a sense of humor. Hopefully he does not give those homes back to those losers who lost their homes because of this prank. The bleeding-heart liberals will say they did nothing to deserve this, but the poor deserve whatever they get and if they were gullible enough to believe that this was real then I don’t have any sympathy for them. Also I still hope Obama fails spectacularly. I mean I hope it is beyond Thunderdome levels of financial crisis. Unfortunately most of the current economic crisis was made up, which by the way indicates that President Bush is in fact terribly underrated.”
President Obama when asked what would happen to those companies and individuals who were forced into bankruptcy said “That is a topic for another day. I think what is important today is that this was truly the best April Fool’s Joke this year if not ever. Sure Google’s CADIE and YouTube’s upside down videos were pretty good, but nothing compared to faking a huge financial crisis. I would like to thank Congress, George W. Bush and of course Bernie Madoff. That fake Ponzi scheme was hilarious if you ask me and we could not have pulled this off without him. People were outraged and rightfully so. Hopefully this will help everyone lighten up a little.”
