The Wonder Years: Women of Kevin Arnold

The Wonder Years: Women of Kevin Arnold

Well not all of them were the women of Kevin Arnold, for example one was his sister, but I found a link to pictures of some of the females from the Wonder Years. The large picture is the picture of them grown up with the smaller one being the one from when they were on the show.

Of course Danica McKellar, who played Winnie Cooper every teenage boys dream girl from that time period, is included and she looks as beautiful as you would expect her to look, but there are many other interesting ones as well. Did you know that Becky Slater, Kevin Arnold’s girlfriend who used to always beat him up or threaten to at least, is Danica McKellar’s sister Crystal McKellar? I did not know that. Also some of the actresses went on to become famous such as Alicia Silverstone, Juliette Lewis and Carla Gugino. The Wonder Years was a great show, unfortunately it is not currently available on dvd due to music licensing issues. Just as a warning some of the links to additional pictures of the actresses are likely nsfw. I did not click on them, but one of them says it is of an actress named Holly Sampson and it says nsfw and appears to be a link to an adult site. So apparently one of the girls Kevin Arnold dated became a porn star. The site it appears on thighs wide shut is an amusing site about movies and television, but they have been known to link to nsfw content in the past so do not say I did not warn you.  Without further ado click the following link to see The women of the Wonder Years.

Make sure to come back to this page when you are done to let me know your thoughts about the Wonder Years. Am I being overly nostalgic about the show like the narrator of the show was about his youth or do you agree with me about how great that show used to be? I have not seen it in years and I am interested to hear everyone’s opinion on the show. If you are a female did you actually have a crush on Kevin Arnold, played by Fred Savage? I never understood that one. If you are a male who was a teenager at the time the Wonder Years was on I won’t ask you whether you had a crush on Winnie Cooper as you surely did. Also before anyone puts it in the comments, Paul Pfeiffer did not grow up to become Marilyn Manson, although it would have been amusing the rumor is not true. Although as the Wikipedia page about the actor who played him mentions he was almost certainly the inspiration for Bart Simpson’s best friend Millhouse on the Simpsons.

  • She definitely grew up to be a pretty woman. Way to go Winnie Cooper!
  • I know!: it's weird, I think I just have a bad memory (drugz), and that show was on a long time ago. It was, though, without question, one of my favorite shows at the time, the fam gathered around the television, post-homework, for the Tuesday night (?) viewing of wonder years.

My neighbor's name was Candy Cooper, and my family always made the erroneous comparison between me, Kevin Arnold, and Candy Cooper, which sent me over the edge at the time. Candy Cooper never went on to study Mathematics at Berkley, I never got laid until I had my driver's license for a decent and ambiguous while, and life, as per the lessons of "The Wonder Years", ended up nothing like I planned it. Some things are like that.
  • All of what you said was true, but it is good to know that some things never change as you used the name of an old neighbor from childhood in the comment section of one of my blogs. I guess upon further examination you did not say anything too bad other than that your relationship with her was not similar to the relationship on the Wonder Years. Also you said she never studied math at Berkley, but I don't know anyone who did, which of course proves that Winnie Cooper is an impossible standard for girls to live up to both on television and in real life.

Speaking of commenting about someone from your past and them finding it on your blog, I wonder what happened to Bob. He was commenting on my old blog all the time, but suddenly stopped. He has not made the jump to the new blog or at least he has not commented on it. I tried to make it easier to comment since it was difficult at first, but some people choose not to comment for whatever reason.
  • Recently, under the influence of some low-grade drugs, I took in a Lifetime movie with Fred Savage playing a deranged and abusive boyfriend, his "tween" girlfriend the subject of many punches to the face by the cloying Savage character who is always able to talk his way out of the breakup by bestowing the strong virtue of their pre-teen love, facial bruising notwithstanding. It was a role which was probably meticulously chosen to point out the major dynamics of Fred Savage the actor, before going on to inevitably nosedive in the form of primetime television shows which weren't worth watching, even under the influence of drugs.

For some reason I can't remember any particular episode of "The Wonder Years", except for the last one. I think, generally, it was supposed to point out to the third-grade viewer that things don't work out the way you want them to, and Winnie Cooper will never be your girlfriend, because she's en route to Berkley, to study mathematics, which is fine, because that was never my subject anyway.
  • I am surprised that you could not muster up any nostalgic feelings for the Wonder Years as you seem to generally have great regard for old tv shows and movies regardless of their quality. You don't remember the episode where Paul Pfeiffer shot a last second desperation shot in the basketball game and it ended up way off the mark hitting someone, I think, the coach in the face? I forgot more episodes than I can remember, but I do remember some of them. His brother was a true dickhead and Paul Pfeiffer was possibly the best sidekick to a sitcom teen with the possible exception of Boner from Family Ties, who I do not really remember, but his name alone makes him a sitcom Hall of Famer.

I think the last episode was meant to be realistic. It was highly unlikely that Winnie Cooper was going to end up with Kevin Arnold, although I guess I would never have expected that in real life she would be a math whiz.. The narrator probably would not have been as fond of his wonder years if they were not the best of his life. He probably realized how unlikely it was that he could ever replicate the sort of luck he had in getting Winnie Cooper to go out with him in the first place.
