Well I can't speak for Ryan who obviously does not have much interest in baseball these days, but I find it upsetting that so many of the Yankees used steroids. The Red Sox probably would have won a year earlier than we did as Giambi hit multiple home runs in the deciding game in the 2003 series.

It does not really bother me anymore just an attempt at a dig at a Yankee fan. I am trying to get my shots in now in case the Yanks bounce back this year. Of course the Sox or the Rays are the favorites this year, but the Yankees spent boatloads of money this offseason so they should be better as well. This decade has been a disappointing one for you Yankee fans and it will actually be interesting to have you guys as a factor again. It should be a fun year as the three best teams in baseball are all in the AL East.

"Babe Ruth did it with beer and hotdogs...Hank Aaron did it with class".A cheat is a cheat and the fact that these tiny testicled losers felt the need to hide their steroid use and seem to come up with all sorts of preschool level ignorance claims to try and explain it away.Steroids may be par for the course in football and the olympics but baseball is a gentelmans game.
How is it that Pete Rose is banned from baseball and all baseball related income, while A-rod gets to juice, cheat in heart if not legal fact and continue his tainted career?C'mon Kempa...you should know better. You seem to get more cynical as the years pass:O)

While we are trying to remake baseball to be more along the lines of a horrible spectacle like American Gladiators, why not encourage them to do performance decreasing drugs. I think George Carlin mentioned that before, although it may have been someone else. Give bonuses to players who are drunk and still perform well, etc. David Wells supposedly pitched his no hitter while still drunk from the night before.

Seriously though baseball is a great sport it just isn't fast-paced enough for many people today who need to be constantly stimulated.

Oh and I have a facebook page for this site now. Not sure if you have one or not yet. I am trying to find an efficient way to put a link to it on this page, but have not found a satisfactory way of doing it yet.

I think it would be cool if baseball players were allowed to use steroids and use metal bats. The majority of people, I think (excluding one Bobby Joe Alpy, who used to watch non-consequential regular season games on repeat during the off season), would probably agree that baseball is pretty much a snoozefest, the kind of thing which you check in with the passivity of checking your mail. Thus, drugs and metal bats: why not maximize the excitement, watching as hulking athletes hit balls to the moon? It would bring an "American Gladiators"-type appeal to the game, really upping the interest-ante ten million percent.
