Dickness: The State or Quality of Being a Dick
Here are the various definitions listed for dickness in the Urban Dictionary:
1. The state or quality of being a dick.
2. The property of being without heart, devoid of passion or feeling.
3. The quality of being difficult to get along with.
4. excessive sterness, harshness or severity of character.
I don’t believe the second or fourth apply to me at all. I would like to believe that number three does not apply either, but some may disagree. Urban dictionary probably has a different interpretation of number one than I do as the only thing that really makes me a dick is that it is my last name. When I was younger it was extremely difficult having the last name Dick. As I got older it wasn’t as important, although Andy Dick added a new stigma to the name fully living up to, or down to as the case may be, at least three of Urban Dictionary’s definitions for Dickness. I never fully embraced my last name, no pun intended, until now with the unveiling of my new blog. Join me and the rapidly growing number of people who have willing helped spread the Dickness.
